WHAT: Planting Peace: An Evening with Nobel Peace Laureate Dr. Wangari 
Maathai.
 
Boston’s Urban Forest Coalition (BUFC) will bring 2004 Nobel Peace 
Laureate Dr. Wangari Maathai to Boston’s historic Faneuil Hall to share 
her message of empowerment and hope for the future through the simple 
steps of planting and protecting trees in our communities.

WHEN:     October 24, 2006, 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:    Faneuil Hall, Boston

WHO:      Dr. Maathai is the first environmentalist and the first African
woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.  She was honored “for her
    contribution to sustainable development, democracy and peace.”

RECEPTION: A private reception, hosted by the law firm Wilmer Cutler, will 
be give supporters the opportunity to meet Dr. Maathai immediately before 
the speaking program.
