Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program - Health Advisory
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary
recall of several Fisher Price toys due to excessive levels of lead in
the surfact paint. The toys were sold at retail stores nationwide from
May 2007 through August 2007 for between $5 and $40. Consumers should
stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
The Boston Public Health Commission urges that if you are concerned
about lead poisoning and would like to get your child screened, contact
the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program at (617) 534-5966. You may also
call your physician for screening information.
