First Day Hikes, Milton, Jan. 1, 2008, Noon 
Head for the hills for a healthy start to the new year! Join DCR Park 
Rangers and staff from the Blue Hills Trailside Museum for free first day 
hikes through Blue Hills Reservation. Warm up with a free cup of hot and 
hearty soup and join a one- or two-hour trek. Choose the scenic hike to 
suit your interest and ability . A stroll around Houghton's Pond will be 
offered for families. Dress warmly and wear sturdy hiking boots for all 
hikes. Free hot & hearty soup at noon. All hikes begin at 1:00PM. Meet at 
the Houghton's Pond main parking lot at 840 Hillside St. in Milton. Take 
Exit 3 off Rte. I-93 and follow First Day signs. Share the goodwill of the 
season. Bring a canned good to donate to Father Bill's Homeless Shelter 
and ensure a happy and healthy new year for all! For more information,
