Franklin Park Friends:

Join us for a wonderful event this weekend - the second annual Birds & 
Bards Festival - a collaboration between the Franklin Park Coalition, Zoo 
New England, Boston Nature Center, Forest Hills Cemetery, and Frederick 
Law Olmsted National Historic Site. You can find all the events and links 
to the other sites on our website: www.franklinparkcoalition.org - there's 
poetry, nature, birds, arts, and lots for children and families.

In Franklin Park come for a family bird walk at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 
1st then see the amazing movie, Winged Migration, at 7:30. Meet at the 
Golf Clubhouse - the movie is inside so will go rain or shine. Peg Aloi, a 
local poet, film lecturer, and nature lover will be with us to talk about 
how the amazing close-up footage of birds in flight was filmed. Saturday, 
June 2nd there are events all day at the Boston Nature Center and a poetry 
tour of historical sites in Franklin Park at 4:00 pm - meet at Valley 
Gates parking lot on the main road. Sunday head to Forest Hills Cemetery 
for more activities.
