Dorchester North to South: A Bike Tour of Community, Art, and Architecture

A MassBike Spins Ride
Sunday, October 28, 10:00 AM

Common Boston, MassBike, and Dorchester Arts Collaborative invite you to
join us for a ride on Sunday, October 28th, the second day of this year's
Dorchester Open Studios. Along the route, we will stop to talk with local
enthusiasts about how art, architecture, landscape, and community design
reflect and affect the diverse neighborhoods that make up Dorchester. The
ride will start near the HUmphreys Street Studios in Uphams Corner and end
near the Walter Baker Lofts studios in Lower Mills about 1 PM, at which
point participants are encouraged to meet the artists and have a snack.
All are welcome to return to all of the Open Studios sites and check out
the area's wonderful artists. Whether you have only heard of Dorchester or
have lived there all your life, there's plenty to discover. Come join the
ride!

Date and time: Sunday, October 28th, 10:00 AM
Meeting place: 16 Hamlet Street, Dorchester (a free, municipal parking lot
near Uphams Corner off Dudley St)
What to bring: Water, a bike, a helmet (REQUIRED), weather appropriate
clothing
Degree of difficulty: The ride will proceed at a leisurely pace with
several stops, but riders should be somewhat comfortable with biking up
hills and on city streets.

No registration is required for this free community event - ride-ins
welcome!
