Dear Friend of the Neponset,
River Art Fall Family Day has been moved to this Sunday, Sept. 16, because
of the wet weather expected on Saturday.
You're invited to explore the natural and cultural history of the Neponset
River Watershed at River Art Fall Family Day on Sunday, Sept. 16, from
10AM-4PM. River Art takes place on the scenic grounds of the Forbes House
Museum, 215 Adams St., Milton.
Peruse colorful booths of fine art and handmade crafts for sale, accompany
naturalist Tom Palmer (NepRWA Board Member, President of the Friends of
the Blue Hills, photographer & author) on a guided nature tour overlooking
the Neponset Estuary, tour the historic and fascinating rooms of the
Forbes House Museum, participate in canoe rides on the Estuary, introduce
your children to nature- and craft-oriented activities, listen to live
music by Murphy's Kitchen (classic rock), and watch plein air art
demonstrations by local artists!
