The Park Patrol's winter session has just started.
This is a program formed just last summer to train Codman Square area
youth on parks stewardship and how it links to community building.
They are always looking for ways to connect with people or networks that
could help with their program.
To get in touch with the Park Patrol, email paul at tbpm.org.

from Trust for Public Land Parks for People New England Update:
Elmhurst Street Neighborhood Backyards, Dorchester
Summer 2007 was filled with activity in preparation for the future
Elmhurst Street Park. The Park Patrol, a local youth group, worked with
the Boston Project Ministries and Trust for Public Land (TPL) to plant
five trees and complete over 10 comparative surveys of city parks to learn
how parks connect to their neighborhoods. TPL also launched a volunteer
task force to complete fundraising for Elmhurst Street Park and for a
second park at Spencer-Whitfield. To volunteer or to make a donation,
please contact Peter Jones, Director of Development, at (617) 371-0552.
